The little Loyolians of the Primary School had their English Day on Friday 11th October under the theme “Friendship”. The Chief Guest on this day was Mr Ashok Ferrey who is a renowned author, mathematician and a personal trainer. The day was colourful and eventful with the participation of our young buds in the Primary School.
The English Literary Association of Loyola College, Daluwakotuwa hosted an Inter-school Debate Competition titled ‘PAROBA’ ‘ready for anything’ on Saturday 5th October. The competition was held for the first time in both the Loyolian and the Negombo Zonal history. Participation of 10 guest schools included St. Joseph’s College, Maradana, St. Peter’s College, Colombo 4, St. Benedict’s College, Kotahena, St. Joseph’s College, Kadol Uyana, St. Jude’s College, Kurana, Negombo, Holy Family Convent, Wennappuwa, Lyceum International, Wattala, St. Nicholas International School, Negombo, Gateway International School, Negombo and Sailan International College, Seeduwa. It was a great success.
Loyola College celebrated the Sinhala Day on Friday, 27th September on a grand scale with the presence of the veteran folk song singer and a teledrama actor Mr Rohana Baddage. The theme on that day was “Gam piyasen hela kethata haada wu ape hela gami kalawa” The students made the day eventful with various dancing and dramas.
